{Trends Alert} Wedding Aisle on The Beach

This beach-style wedding aisle has a total understated elegance about it. It is positively one of the prettiest wedding aisles we have seen. It's wonderfully put together in a unique and eclectic way. The lovely detail that we like most is the use of Chinese parasols in bright pink colour lining up along the aisle. It gives a pop of colour to the all bland surroundings. So, a little bit of creativity can brighten up the wedding!

{Trends Alert} Flower Petal Wedding Aisle Style

While some of us may enjoy a long weekend this week, for the rest it is just peeking around the corner. So for some weekend wedding inspiration, we leave you with a few pictures of wedding aisles. We are not really big fans of wedding aisle runners....it's so yesterday. But as you can see, it is now trendy to walk down a flower-petalled wedding aisle.

We, in fact, love this idea as it can go with the theme of your wedding colours. While real flower petals or freeze-dried ones are more environmentally friendly, you can also use faux petals made out of fabrics that will last longer.

But first thing first, do check out from your venue provider if they do allow petals to be used as a wedding aisle runner as some do have strict rules about it, especially in churches and on the beach.

{Trends Alert} Dressing Up Your Chairs

Our next trend alert is all about dressing up your chairs for your wedding guests. The trends seem to point more towards using fresh flowers and ferns to decorate chair-backs. Pick flowers that are in season as choosing those that are not may be too costly. Additionally, if you are having an outdoor wedding such as a beach or garden wedding, it is important to ask the florist which flowers are suitable especially in our warm and humid Asian weather. Withered flowers are definitely not a pretty sight during weddings.

Alternatively, you may also use other decorative items to dress up your chairs like this pretty palm leave fan that is slipped between the tieback ribbons.

To save on cost, just use pretty ribbons in bright colours for a clean streamlined effect perhaps.

{Trends Alert} Creative Lightings for Your Destination Weddings

Now, most destination weddings are usually held outdoors. To mimic a romantic evening and lighting up the dark outdoors, we noticed that lanterns are making an appearance at many wedding dinner receptions lately.

It is definitely a creative way some couples or wedding planners are choosing to create a soft ambience. We think it's really clever as it's not only economical, but does wonders to set the mood for an evening reception.

Simple lanterns can be dressed up with strings of crystal beads for a sparkly glamorous feel.

You can choose from a wide variety of lanterns - from round chinese lanterns to vintage glass-like lanterns or even handmade luminaries using paper bags and tealight candles. Alternatively, you can just use tealight candles and placed them randomly all over the ground.
